WORD! International Day of People with Disabilities Open Mic Takeover

WORD! hands the mic to some of the brightest voices in poetry, spoken word and performance – for a night celebrating International Day of People with Disabilities.

This WORD! Special will explore ideas around (dis)ability and imagine a present and future that is accessible for all without exception. Expect a night packed with powerful performances, unexpected moments and special guests soon to be announced.

If you would like to share something as part of the evening, please email hello@wordpoetry.co.uk.  People with lived experience of disability, directly or indirectly, visible or not visible, are particularly invited to perform, with everybody welcome.

What are ‘Pay What You Can’ tickets?

We believe that that arts should be accessible for all. For this reason some of our shows and events this year will be ‘Pay What You Can’, meaning that you decide how much you can or want to pay. This expands access to the arts for those who may not have been able to participate otherwise, or gives others the chance to support those who cannot by paying a bit extra.

You will see multiple prices available for each show or event. You can select whichever price you can afford or would like to pay – thank you.
